YOUNG AFRICAN WOMEN INITIATIVE (YAWI)
Young Africa women initiative (YAWI) is a legal entity based in Nakuru Kenya. YAWI is a woman-led organization that was founded in 2012 and is registered with the NGO board of Kenya. The purpose of the organization is to provide frontline services to meet the needs of women, children, and girls facing multiple disadvantages across more strands of gender- based violence.
BLACK COFFEE NETWORK
Black Coffee Network is a pan-African youth network and organization. It is registered as a community-based organization in Nakuru County. The black coffee network was founded in 2017. It consisted of a few friends who shared a cup of coffee while discussing issues that they faced. This coffee connect has since grown from a few individuals to a network of young people all across the county and beyond.
URBAN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE FOR AFRICA (URADCA)
URADCA envisions a world where people no longer die of preventable diseases and ill-health. Its mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of African peoples through public health research and evaluation, policy analysis, strategy development, implementation research, advocacy, and capacity building.
JAWABU KENYA
It is a human rights advocacy Organization, with a especial focus on Rights Based Approach to Development, Civic & Voter education, and election monitoring. It pursues this line in the belief that “true Democratic governance reflects and radiates the will of a people informed of their constitutional and civic rights to participate in their governance processes without duress”.
FARMING SYSTEM KENYA (FSK)
Farming Systems Kenya (FSK) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 1981 through the initiative of the Africa Inland Church, Nakuru Region Lay People Fellowship (NLPF) with main agenda being to reduce poverty through agricultural development, the main focus being the smallholder farmers who constitute 80% of the Kenyan farming community. This is achieved through improving their productivity to enhance incomes and food security through appropriate technologies. FSK targets the rural smallholder farmers who lack the knowledge, skills and opportunities to improve productivity and livelihoods. The organization is currently headquartered in Nakuru City with staellite offices in Baringo, Narok, Bomet, West Pokot, Kakamega and Laikipia Counties.
SMARTLADIES
Smart Ladies is a sex workers led organization formed in 2012 and registered in 2015 in the County of Nakuru in Kenya. The organization was borne out of the need to bring the sex workers together under one umbrella due to the sporadic killing of sex workers in the period 2012 to 2013 which attracted national attention.
AKIBA MASHINANI TRUST
AMT is the financing vehicle for Muungano, which aims to build community organization and develop their capacities to enable them to engage with the government towards improving conditions in the settlements. Put simply, AMT is able to provide these services because slum communities save money together. Unlike formal banking and microfinance institutions, AMT is couched within a broader a community effort to upgrade urban informal settlements and markets.
SUSTAINABLE PRACTICAL PROGRAM FOR AFRICA
Sustainable Practical Program for Africa (SUPPA) is an independent Non-Governmental organization dedicated to poverty alleviation in rural communities by influencing environmental conservation actions to promote sustainable development. We have been working with local communities and relevant agencies for over 10 years on four of our main thematic areas:
Environment & Climate Change, Livelihoods, Food Nutrition and Security, Citizenry & Governance, Advocacy

LANAMEDUBA is a network umbrella organization of three community forest
associations (CFAs) namely: Menengai Community Forest Association (MCFA), Bahati Forest Community Forest Association (BAFOCA) and Dundori Community Forest Association (DUCOFA). The CFAs are made up of small user groups registered as Community Based Organizations (CBOs)

NAKURU COUNTY YOUTH BUNGE FORUM
Nakuru-CYBF’s mission is to empower the youth and children fraternity within Nakuru County so as to enhance their morale in both personal and corporate development. We intend to work tirelessly without tribal, racial, political and social background bias to meet the needs of the young people by bringing positive change, improvement and hope both in their personal lives and in the surrounding environment.
